Why did we develop PPA Porcelain Epoxy Grout?
Over the past few years, the paving industry has seen a HUGE rise in the popularity of porcelain paving. However, there was no new innovation in grouting products to meet this new market.
Everyone needed to use the already existing grouts for porcelain, but as they are often challenging to work with – we took matters into our own hands. A few months ago we launched Porcelain Epoxy Grout with
Everyone needed to use the already existing grouts for porcelain, but as they are often challenging to work with – we took matters into our own hands. A few months ago we launched PPA Porcelain Epoxy Grout with 5 different colours available Light Grey / Ivory / Black / Taupe /Anthracite.
A new way of outdoor grouting to suit a new and evolving porcelain market. The feedback so far has been amazing and we are so delighted with how it has been received.
PPA Epoxy Grout
Cement Grout
PPA Epoxy Grout Quick overview
Pros
• Low porosity features, meaning it is not possible for bacteria, mildew or mould access the area beneath the surface
• It’s highly resistant to breakage, stains, and abrasions
• It is the right option for light-coloured grouts since it is easy to clean
• Epoxy grout is highly resistant to chemicals, hence the right choice for substantial commercial, industrial and commercial
• It is the best option for harsh locations where there’s regular use of harsh chemicals such as schools, healthcare, and commercial kitchens
• It features consistent colour
• Epoxy grout is a waterproof grout for tiling because of its impermeable nature of plastic. Therefore, this explains why it’s not recommended to seal epoxy grout
• It is the right choice since it cannot scratch the delicate metal, marble, or glass tiles
• It has an excellent bond strength
• Epoxy needs low maintenance compared to cement grout.
|
Cons
• It goes at a relatively high cost compared to cement grouts
• There are high chances for it to ruin porous tiles such as natural stones. The epoxy resins are likely to soak into the unglazed tiles or natural stones’ pores, and it’s hard to remove them (we don’t recommend using epoxy grout for this appliaction)
• It’s possible for the epoxy grout to slump down through the vertical joints in the absence of the thicker viscosity and if they are too wide.

For Temperature above 15° – 40°
Easier to use and more playable.
-
For Temperature below 15°
Temperature below 15°C, We would recommend putting the tubes in to a bucket of hot water for 5-7 min to warm the material which will make the grout more playable and prevent
tubes from splitting. If this is not done there will be chance that the tubes will split and will be a little difficult to squeeze out, also the grout mixture will dry very slowly.
